Room of the Day: Sleep Amongst the Sealife In This Underwater Bedroom

Quirky / Funky

The tune of Little Mermaid’s “Under the Sea” comes to mind when I imagine myself slipping under the covers and staring up at this aquatic quarter’s ceiling full of fish. Once an underwater restaurant built 16 feet below sea level in the Indian Ocean, the owners of Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Hotels and Resorts, decided to convert the 12-seater eatery into this fabulous aquarium bedroom. Spacious enough for two, the now private suite boasts a panoramic view of majestic and ever-in-motion marine life, comfortable accommodations, a champagne dinner and breakfast in bed service. The fish would only be so lucky to stay in a place like this.
