I have to say, that living in one of the most beautiful cities in California is well worth renting. For the lucky few, buying in this area is a dream. Recently, I was fortunate enough to tour a home placed on the market by owners who had taken care of it for the past 25 years. Undoubtedly, this Manhattan Beach bungalow will be quickly snatched up by the first smart buyer who falls in love with its brightness, functionality and long-loved charm. Here is an excerpt of the tour…make the jump to see the rest. Come on, now…follow me!
A Family Home To Make Your Own:
As I drove up the pleasant, tree-lined street of Wendy Way, it was as if I found myself in one of those romantic comedy movies, idyllically decorated with copper and rusty leaves scattered along the sidewalk, hugged by the greenest of grassy lawns. It’s also the kind of neighborhood you can imagine raising children in and a house that warmly welcomes you to stay a while. Yes, 1508 Wendy Way has been, for the past 25 years, this kind of home-home to a close family of four who is now offering new owners the chance to make new memories in this fabulous Manhattan Beach bungalow.
After easily finding a place to park, I walked up to the well-manicured front yard and entryway. Its curb appeal was instant and familiar. I immediately appreciated the home’s exterior color combination of sandy creme walls against crisp black painted window shutters and front door. The landscaping felt just right, elegant white roses that popped amongst the green shrubs and plants. There was a wooden bench that greeted me, seemingly asking me to have a seat…so I did. After a moment, I gave a gentle rap on the door, then I was invited inside. I knew this was one of those homes.
What was your favorite part of this home?
