Weekend DIY Project: Make A Lamp Out of Anything

DIY lamp making

This past Christmas, I was gifted an amazing mermaid vase I found at atwestend.com. It is so beautiful, but I can’t quite bring myself to fill it with water and watch as the flower stems crud up the inside of her. My solution? Turn her into a lamp! I’m a bit nervous about it, but, I think with the help of DIYlife and this easy instructional video hosted by celebrity carpenter Eric Stromer, I’ll be able to do it, no problem. Stay tuned for the lighted mermaid! For now, take a look at the how-to below, then try your hand at making a lamp of your own out of just about anything!
