Video: Beavers Build Green, Efficient, and Well-Planned Homes

Quirky / Funky

Mother Nature is no fool.  Just watch as one of her own, the original master builders, the beaver, meticulously and methodically constructs a home that is not only used for shelter, but also as a reservoir, nursery, sleeping and feeding chamber, food source, guest lodge, and secure fortress with moat.

Additionally, these clever creatures are environmentally friendly and efficient, utilizing green products like nearby trees, branches, brush, and mud to naturally maintain a cool home in the summer and a warm one in the winter.  One final note: they always meet their deadline.  Truly amazing!
