There is often the question of how far we should go when it comes to color in our homes. Will we quickly tire of its vibrancy and/or novelty? Will next year’s color date the one I just painted, installed, or invested in similar to fashion’s “I’m-too-hip” Ed Hardy shirts? Frankly, the answer depends on your color choice(s) and in what room(s) you decide to “tintify”.  For inspiration, check out today’s “Room of the Day”. It might just ease your uneasiness, as it illustrates how bathrooms, because they are small and usually hidden behind closed doors, are the perfect place to experiment; not only with color, but with bold patterns as well. Here, this neon-chic chevron tile sets a fantastic foundation for an otherwise neutral space. There’s no doubt that the hip-factor, no matter what year it is, will be long-lasting.
