Weekend DIY Project: How to Turn an Ugly Coffee Table Into an Upholstered Bench

Some of my most favorite DIY projects are the how-tos that require only basic skills, findable materials, and low monetary risk. Today’s syndicated blog “How to Turn an Ugly Coffee Table Into an Upholstered Bench” comes fresh from curbly.com and will have you hankering for the weekend to get started.

How To Turn an Ugly Coffee Table Into an Upholstered Bench

What do you do with an old coffee table with a dinged up or stained top?  Turn it into a soft, lovely, upholstered bench for your hallway, end of your bed or as an upholstered ottoman in front of the sofa.  This pine bench was $13.99 at Goodwill (a little overpriced in my opinion).  With some  fresh new fabric, supplies and these simple instructions, it morphed into a different creature.

To view the entire how-to, go to curbly.com. Photos courtesy of curbly.com.  If you’d like to share your “before & after” DIY project on DiggersList drop me a line here and include images (Low res, under 500k per image, please).
