The freedom of the design and decor of a kid’s room, with such whimsical patterns and colors, is quite appealing. Take today’s room of the day: these same qualities shine through with youthful zest and abandon – a feel that is light and airy. What’s interesting, though, is that at first blush, this space doesn’t at all read six year old girl. The maturity of the fabrics, wall color and accessories help boost its age-defying appearance, all the while maintaining a definite girlie-girl sweetness with the help of the many pops of precious pinks. The decor lesson? Whether designing a child’s or adult’s room, the approach should always appeal to what makes you happy – you can’t go wrong if this is the result of your efforts.

This mom deserves a “well-done” on so many levels…her daughter will certainly grow up with influential good taste and happiness.
