Ah, yes…it’s that time of year to turn up our “awareness volume” and rock out for Mother Earth. Who then better to feature on our “Blogs We Dig” but The Zero Waste Home blog. Just as the name suggests, you’ll find all kinds of cool and doable tips, products, and ideas on how to leave as small an environmental footprint as possible. Writer and self-taught “zero-waster” Béa Johnson (with quite the lovely French accent!), gently illustrates how we can start at home to first “Refuse. Refuse. Refuse. Then reduce, reuse, recycle (and only in that order).”

The three things we DIG:

1. “Zero-Wasting” tips that start at home…

from food packaging, alternatives to disposables, laundry detergent recipes, and composting are all very simple and can start anyone on the right foot towards a lighter environmental footprint.

2. Kids are powerful activists…

in their own right and in this blog we learn how Béa’s eldest son, Max gets in on the act as a green teacher to his classmates, a zero-waste “kid-expert” to readers, and an overall family helper and green contributor.

3. The Zero Waste Home Store…

is a great place to find items that Béa blogs about to help us become reducing, reusing, and recycling gurus!

Bonus DIG: We really dig the fact that “greening” your life can be done so simply as shown by The Zero Waste Home blog. We also want to thank our DiggersList users for your part in reducing, reusing and recycling by visiting us again and again. Mother thanks you!
